GOD or Society

ISAIAH 57:11-13

“Whom have you so dreaded and feared
    that you have not been true to me,
and have neither remembered me
    nor taken this to heart?
Is it not because I have long been silent
    that you do not fear me?
I will expose your righteousness and your works,
    and they will not benefit you.
When you cry out for help,
    let your collection of idols save you!
The wind will carry all of them off,
    a mere breath will blow them away.
But whoever takes refuge in me
    will inherit the land
    and possess my holy mountain.”

If you committed a crime today, for instance, you accidentally killed someone after an argument, what would you be afraid of????

The police or GOD???

Prison or Conscious???

Media or Hell?????

Humiliation or Spiritual struggle???

Court or final judgment????

Poverty or Honesty ???

Whatever you fear defines you, and whatever defines you other than God is an Idol.

We have made the society a god that terrifies us!!!!!!

Proverbs29:25

The fear of man brings a snare, But he who trusts in the LORD will be exalted.

SNARE>is a trap

In our today statistics, the fear of GOD has been stepped down by the fear of people. Going against our peers is riskier than sinning against our GOD.

Falling in sin is as easy as stepping a tadpole while going against our society is like diving from a cliff. We have honored our names more than the name of the only GOD. Our reputation is always at stake ahead of the Gospel. We live a life of self-satisfaction.

Genesis12:13

Tell them that you are my sister; then because of you they will let me live and treat me well

The king of Egypt took Sarah to the palace because she was beautiful and treated Abram right, and the LORD sent terrible diseases on him and the people of his palace, Genesis12:17-20. Abram feared for his life, he chose to fear the king and lied, regardless of the many things the LORD had done and saved him from. To him and to most of us we think we are wiser in our ways and they end up disappointing us in shame.

LUKE12:4-5

I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot afterward do anything worse. I will show you whom to fear; Fear GOD, who, after killing, has the authority to throw into hell. Believe me, He is the one you must fear.

>Only GOD has the authority over your life, what GOD makes no man can destroy, and what He destroys no man can make it. •I once asked a group of girls, if they accidentally got pregnant today unplanned and unmarried what would they do?? And 3/4 of them confidently said they rather abort, and with an understanding mind, I asked them WHY???

And as I thought their worry isn’t raising the Baby but rather the SOCIETY, what will Mama say??? What will my Dad think of me??? What will happen to my image that people admire!!!!! The only strength the society has is zero compared to the strength of GOD, they may attack your falls today, but your tomorrow is defined by GOD. Only GOD has the ability to change your mess, no matter how much you try to hide or glorify it in disguise, it’s still an offense and only GOD can clean the messes. That’s why before we were born He sent His son JESUS to die for our sins so by the blood we can be reconciled with Him.

Fear HIM that knows what awaits for you in the next minute, Fear HIM that knows every hidden detail in your life, Fear HIM that can destroy you in a second, one second you here the next second you are gone. The society, families included will never solve your shame no matter how powerful they are, only GOD can, only GOD should be feared and given the very first place in our lives.

Isaiah 51:12-13

“I, I’m the One comforting you. What are you afraid of – or who? Some man or woman who’ll soon be dead? Some poor wretch destined for dust?

You’ve forgotten me, God, who made you, who unfurled the skies, who founded the earth. And here you are, quaking like an aspen before the tantrums of a tyrant who thinks he can kick down the world. But what will come of the tantrums?
